Founded in 1976, Intelligro began as a nursery, creating premium potting mixes to meet our own growing needs. This hands-on experience gave us valuable insight into the care, expertise, and commitment nurseries invest in producing healthy plants. As demand for our high-quality mixes grew, we made a pivotal decision in 1977 to focus exclusively on manufacturing premium potting mixes for nurseries and commercial growers.
We were among the first in New Zealand to introduce bark-based potting mixes – setting a new benchmark for quality and innovation in the horticultural industry. Over time, we expanded our offering beyond nursery mixes to include a comprehensive range of landscape products, allowing us to support both growers and landscapers with reliable, high-performance solutions.
Today, Intelligro is a proud third-generation, family-owned business. Backed by decades of expertise, we remain committed to supplying industry-leading products and exceptional service to our customers.
